How the work progresses
Define the board
We work through functions, interfaces, power, size and target production volumes. These choices guide component selection and the first design.
Design and build
Schematics and PCB layout are developed alongside the mechanical constraints. The prototype makes it possible to test assumptions on real hardware.
Prepare for production
We use prototype results to refine the design and coordinate component sourcing, assembly and testing. Certification needs are considered with our partners.

Disconnect MK1 - hid:ergo
For the hid:ergo Disconnect MK1 keyboard, Haksi handled hardware and PCB design, component sourcing and assembly. PCB assembly, soldering, final assembly, quality checks and packaging took place in Jyväskylä.

Can Haksi design both the PCB and its firmware?
Yes. Our services cover electronics and embedded firmware as well as prototyping and manufacturing. We can discuss the whole product or the specific development stage you need help with.
What information is useful for a PCB design enquiry?
Describe the device, its power source, connections, size limits and expected production quantity. If you have schematics, a prototype or an enclosure model, mention them in your enquiry. A finished specification is not needed to start a conversation.
Where are the boards and products manufactured?
Small-batch assembly takes place in our Jyväskylä facilities, with board fabrication and other production stages arranged through partners. The supply chain depends on the product; our case studies show examples using both European and international suppliers.
